We are so excited to launch the new GoTravel website!
The imagery we were able to use on the site makes you feel warm and relaxed and with two automatically running videos on the homepage the site is rich with colour and vibrance.
The majority of the site will not change very much as the GoTravel team did not want a complex system to keep up to date so we setup our blogging system on the site which will be used almost on a daily basis to announce and promote the offers that they want to get out to their customers.
The objective is to get customers to read the latest news on their website and not just on social media, so the blog/news is the first place to detail the information and only then share this to social media. Trying to get visitors to share the posts is also key to showing Google that this website is the best one in its category so that it promotes it to the top of the search rankings.
There are also many legal issues with what the site must and must not show, we have been through these with the client to ensure that is all taken care of. Policies are clear to the user without encroaching on the real business!
Instagram is a very visual system and every page of the site shows the business Instagram feed which automatically updates as they make new posts. Again this is important because the pages on the site change all the time, which Google loves.

The Lumberjack Experience - Totally new to North Devon, sounds like great fun and as the new business takes off we will update all the imagery on the new website, or indeed Will the owner will be able to do it himself.
Will is a previous customer, we built his Extreme Coasteering website for him and he liked it so much he wanted a similar design and functions for his new business. He is great to work with, providing the imagery and text as soon as we had the shape of the site ready for him and this was completed in a few short weeks.
It is important to remember that we don't know your business so you will always have to do some of the work when you want a new website and there are a few things you might not have thought of - Keywords are the most important. Have a think about what people will search for to find your website when they don't know you exist, those are your "keywords", and the website is built with these in mind, from the start.
The most important keywords for this site are dealt with by the three "experiences" pages. There is a trend at the moment for single page websites, that just scroll down the same page for all your information. The trouble with this is you don't have all those extra pages to attract Google - one page means one chance. This page has 6 pages and an unlimited potential for more if required.
It is all about getting listed on Google and we ensure that your new site is properly setup from the word "go".
Every page will eventually have image galleries on them which we will add for no extra cost because it only takes a few minutes to do, and anything that takes less than an hour to do is included in your £140 annual hosting fee that includes, email, security certificate and top class super fast website hosting.

The Bideford and District Community Archive is based in Windmill Lane, Northam, North Devon. They are a hard working group of volunteers who spend three days a week archiving The Gazette Newspaper from its very first edition in 1856.
They came to us with a bunch of databases made up in Excel, Access and even Microsoft Word saying they wanted to be able to get their data online for the world to see. We are delighted with the result and hope you can take some time to have a look through at some of the amazing articles the Gazette has published in its time. The database searches are at times hilarious and of course very useful to your family tree research:
A search of the Newspaper archive for "Accidents" in "Appledore" for instance - click this link for direct results gives these results at the top (click to enlarge):
So we managed to be able to show all the Archives results online and our personal tuition to the volunteers means that they are also able now to update the information into the website directly, so no more Excel databases full of great information - you can read it as it goes on!
We hope this great website will go from strength to strength, be informative to the North Devon population and also make some money through advertising for the Archive to help fund their office. We are helping with selling advertising space on the site so if you would like a spot please let us or The Archive know.

Dressage4All is the brainchild of Amanda who came to us a short time ago with a hosting problem on her other website. We were able to host this for her and get her out of a bit of a jam and she came to us with this idea.
Hosting "virtual dressage competitions" from her new website with specific competitions that riders can enter and upload their videos through Youtube or Dropbox. Payments taken through the website for the events and we are using "Community Builder" to manage the registrations and personal accounts.
The site is fully responsive and linked to all Amanda's Social Media accounts. We are sure this is a great idea and by the rate of new signups in the first couple of days since going live this is going to do really well.
Please visit http://www.dressage4all.co.uk and signup for the next event!
